Morning Sessions is an ongoing creative practice course for anyone who wants to rediscover their creativity - no pressure, no judgment, no finished-product agenda. No experience necessary. Come as you are. Everybody is innately creative.
This isn't about building a portfolio or mastering a technique. It's about restoring your relationship with creativity itself, and rebuilding the habit of simply showing up to make things - in a safe, unhurried space where you can grow and explore at your own pace.
Each week, you'll be given everything you need to experiment freely: a changing menu of inspiration - objects, images, materials and techniques - with no pressure to make anything "good." You'll draw, paint, print and collage your way to paper-based artworks, working within playful constraints designed to quiet the inner critic and get you moving before you've had time to overthink it. Creative risk often leads to the best surprises.
Places are limited to 10 people per session, keeping the group small and the space safe to experiment in.
Your Tutor:
Morning Sessions is taught by Amy Beech, an experienced illustrator and print designer with a BA from Central Saint Martins and an MA in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art. Amy has also taught art and design at Richmond American University, and brings years of professional creative practice into the room - alongside a genuine belief that everyone has a creative voice worth uncovering.
Class Format:
A loosening-up sequence of quick, technique-based exercises
A period of guided exploration
An extended stretch of open experimentation
A closing group critique, held in a relaxed, supportive circle
