Welcome to The Good Space, a vibrant, creative community hub in Dawlish, Devon.

We’re a friendly, design-led space offering flexible coworking, workshops, talks, and venue hire – all designed to bring people together, spark ideas, and support local people.

Whether you're a freelancer, remote worker, founder, or just looking for a space to try something new, The Good Space is here for you.

Modern, bright office or meeting room with white desks, beige swivel chairs, potted plants in blue-striped pots, colorful artwork on the wall, and a small red desk lamp.

We believe creativity is for everyone. Even if you don’t think you’re creative, we think you might surprise yourself.

Meet the Team

The Good Space was created by three friends and freelance designers who wanted more than just a desk – we wanted community, creativity, and a place that felt good to work in.

Between us, we’ve spent years navigating the freelance world – juggling clients, deadlines and the occasional identity crisis – and we know how powerful it is to have a space (and people) that lift you up.

The Good Space is our way of bringing that to Dawlish – a welcoming, design-led hub where ideas grow, connections happen, and creativity is for everyone.

Amy Walker

Founder + Graphic Designer

Originally from the North, Amy has spent the last 18 years gradually moving further south. She kicked off her design career at Reebok, then headed up a team at the parenting brand Tommee Tippee, before launching her own freelance studio, Ace & Ping in 2020. These days, she juggles freelance client work, big ideas, and two kids (with a 9 year age gap) right by the sea here in Dawlish.

Kate Huggard

Founder + Fashion Designer

Born and raised in London, Kate spent years designing for some of the UK’s biggest retailers – think bold ideas, tight deadlines, and way too many mood boards. With a love for interiors, craft, and all things beautifully made, she’s swapped city life for sea air and now calls Dawlish home, where she lives with her partner and two children.

Founder + Print Designer

Devon-born and London-shaped, Amy spent 20 years in the capital before trading city buzz for sea air. Back home with her husband, two kids and charismatic cat Taco, she brings bold style and a lifelong love of art to her work. As print designer for luxury womenswear brands—collaborating with the likes of Ossie Clark, Next, Selfridges and Pretty Polly—she’s known for her sharp eye and instinct for picking the perfect colour.
